Law enforcement officials are searching for a person of interest who was involved in a pedestrian hit-and-run at a gas station in Sheridan earlier this month. 

Police say the incident happened the Stinker gas station at 1015 North Sheridan Blvd in Lakewood at 8:23 p.m. on Jan. 16.

Authorities examined surveillance footage and say a 2014 to 2018 Toyota RAV4 was seen running into a pedestrian. It failed to stop and fled the scene. Police say the vehicle will have front passenger side damage as a result of the crash and is missing a fog light. 

The victim suffered serious injuries, officials said. 

Authorities are encouraging anyone with information about the vehicle or the driver is encouraged to contact the Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7868.

Anyone that provides information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect could be eligible for a $2,000 reward.
