The Pueblo Police Department has opened a homicide investigation after officers found a homeless man lying dead in the driveway of a business. 

Officers were dispatched to the intersection of City Center Drive and Chester Avenue near downtown after a report of a person lying in the street. 

Authorities located the man in driveway of a business in the 400 block of East City Center Drive and observed injuries.

The man was pronounced dead on the scene, police said. 

During an initial investigation, police learned that the man was injured and walking along City Center Drive when he collapsed and died. 

Information about the victim is not being released at this time.
