The Denver Police Department is investigating after two shootings occurred in the city early Wednesday morning.
Police said the first shooting happened in the 800 block of South Quebec Street, between the Cedar Run Apartments and Fairmount Cemetery. Police announced the shooting just after 2:30 a.m.
One victim, a female of unknown age, was taken to a hospital with a gunshot wound, police said. She is expected to survive.
South Quebec Street was closed between Leetsdale Drive and East Exposition Avenue until about 6 a.m. while officers investigated the scene.
The second shooting happened at about 7 a.m. in the 2600 block of South Delaware Street in the Overland neighborhood.
Police said a man was taken to a hospital with an unknown extent of injuries. His status is unknown.
No arrests have been made in either shooting. The shootings are not believed to be connected.
The investigations are ongoing. No suspect information is available.
