A pedestrian was killed early Thursday morning after being struck by a car in the North Park Hill neighborhood, the Denver Police Department announced.
Police said the collision happened in the 2500 block of Colorado Boulevard, near the City Park Golf Course. DPD announced the collision at 4:15 a.m.
The victim, an adult male, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The driver left before police arrived and is still on the loose. Police don’t have any description of the suspect or vehicle at this time.
The investigation is ongoing. Northbound Colorado Boulevard was closed at East 25th Avenue for several hours while police collected evidence.
Anyone with information is asked to call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867. Tipsters can be anonymous and are eligible for a $2,000 reward.
