Police investigating bank robbery in Fort Collins

An investigation is underway following a bank robbery in Fort Collins Thursday afternoon, police said.

Officers were dispatched to the Chase Bank at 2820 E. Harmony Road in Fort Collins at 1 p.m. after a report of a bank robbery. 

Investigators learned a man entered the bank, approached a teller and demanded cash, while displaying a gun. He fled the scene prior to the arrival of law enforcement, officials from the Fort Collins Police Department said.

No injuries were reported as a result of the incident. 

The suspect has been described as a man with a facial tattoo who was last seen wearing a dark beanie and black jacket. 

“Our investigative teams are working diligently to identify this suspect and need the community’s help doing so,” said FCPD Criminal Investigations Lt. Jerrod Kinsman.

“We will pursue all leads to locate and hold this person responsible.”

The FBI is assisting FCPD in the investigation, officials from FCPD said.
