After storm, DPS to hold fully remote classes Tuesday

Denver Public Schools will remain closed Tuesday, shifting its learning to fully remote, the district wrote Monday afternoon.
DPS students and staff enjoyed a full snow day Monday. Buildings will remain closed Tuesday “due to the extreme amount of snowfall during this weekend’s storm and the difficult travel conditions created the past two days.” Though K-12 learning will be remote, early childhood education classes are completely canceled, as is curbside meal pickup and meals delivered by bus.
Despite “the clearing weather and warmer temperatures today, the large amount of snowfall continues to make travel conditions difficult for team members to get to schools for snow removal and to get buildings and campuses ready for students,” the district wrote on its website in a message to the community.
The district said it would provide an update Tuesday about plans for Wednesday classes.
