Officials are investigating after one person was shot early Monday morning at a Denver motel, the Adams County Sheriff’s Office announced.
Deputies said they were called at 5:20 a.m. on reports of a shooting at the White Rock Motel and RV Park at 5555 Federal Blvd.
When the deputies arrived, they discovered one person with a bullet wound in their leg.
The victim, of unknown age and gender, was transported to a local hospital for treatment. They are expected to survive their injuries, police said.
It is unclear what led up to the shooting. Investigators are currently working to identify the suspect.
Deputies said the suspect is believed to be a male dressed in all black. He was last seen in a black SUV fleeing the scene towards Federal Boulevard.
