A 14-year-old girl who has been missing for two months was found safe Thursday, the Fort Collins Police Department announced.
The girl was last seen on Jan. 11 in Fort Collins, police said.
The FBI and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children began seeking the public’s assistance in the girl’s disappearance on Wednesday.
Officials announced she had been located less than 30 hours after her name and photo were released.
Police have not said how the girl was found or where she was.
During the investigation, officials said she may have dyed her hair or been using the fake name “Olivia,” suggesting she had run away.
On Wednesday, a Corporal working on the case said they believe the girl left her home voluntarily with a friend and may be in the San Luis Valley area.
