Pass holders no longer need reservations at Winter Park Resort

The Winter Park Resort no longer requires pass holders to have reservations in order to access the mountain for the 2020/21 season, the resort announced Monday.

This new policy was implemented because the resort no longer needs the reservation system to manage visitation numbers, officials said. The policy is effective immediately.

“Our pass holders are incredibly important to the entire Winter Park community. They’re our most loyal fans and cheerleaders and they’ve been patient and diligent through all the twists and turns of this season,” said COO Sky Foulkes.

The Winter Park Resort first established the reservation system in response to COVID-19 social distancing guidelines.

The resort also began limiting the sales of daily lift tickets and launched the “Shred Another Day” campaign, asking guests to follow COVID-19 precautions to protect the industry.

The resort will continue to limit other mountain access products to help manage the volume of visitors through the end of the 2020/21 season, officials said.

“We’re grateful to our pass holders and want to recognize their dedication,” Foulkes said.

The Winter Park Resort is also holding a Pass Holder Appreciation Week beginning on April 5 to thank the pass holders who’ve helped the resort get through the season despite challenging circumstances.

The week will feature exclusive pass holder deals, including $89 friends and family lift tickets and discounts on gear and tubing sessions.

All other COVID-19 policies and procedures — including wearing mandatory face masks, no indoor dining and pre-booking all services — will remain in effect through the remainder of the season.
