The Adams County Sheriff’s Office Special Enforcement Team arrested Michael Ortega on Saturday, a previously convicted felon wanted for multiple charges.
Ortega, 50, was described as highly dangerous and was wanted for second-degree assault and domestic violence charges, deputies said.
The sheriff’s office asked for the public’s help in finding Ortega on Friday.
Deputies said Ortega had recently removed his GPS tracker and was last pinged in the 9400 block of Sheridan Boulevard in Westminster.
The sheriff’s office said officials located Ortega thanks to a tip submitted by a community member.
Ortega is being held at the Adams County Detention Facility as he awaits court proceedings.
