The FBI and Denver Police Department are investigating a bank robbery reported near the University of Denver on Monday.
According to a release from the FBI, a man walked into a Bank of the West branch at 2050 S. Downing St. at 2:45 p.m. and displayed a weapon.
Authorities have described the man as 6 feet tall with a medium to heavy built and was last seen wearing black knitted hat, blue jeans and a black hooded sweatshirt with a large pug on the front with the words “PUG LIFE.”
He was also carrying a blue reusable Walmart grocery bag at the time of the robbery.
Anyone with information regarding the bank robber or incident are encouraged to contact the FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force at 303-629-7171, or the Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.
Information leading to the arrest and conviction of the bank robber could earn up to $2,000.
