One person is in custody after a woman was fatally shot in the chest in Adams County early Tuesday morning.
Information regarding the suspect is not being released at this time, said Adam Sherman, a public information officer for the Adams County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were dispatched to a mobile home in the 6200 block of Federal Boulevard at 4:37 a.m. after a report that someone had been shot.
Upon arrival, deputies located a dead woman who suffered a gunshot wound to the chest. Those who were at the scene at the time of the shooting are currently in custody for questioning, Sherman said.
The investigation is ongoing.
