Film on the Rocks returns to Red Rocks Amphitheatre for 22nd year

Film on the Rocks Summer Series is returning to the Red Rocks Amphitheatre for its 22nd season and will feature box office hits like “Jaws,” “The Avengers,” “Jurassic Park” and more.

The film series will kickoff its season beginning Memorial Day Weekend and will mainly have drive-thru only options. However, “Casino Royale,” “Jurassic Park” and “The Princess Bridge” will be shown in a traditional setting inside the amphitheater, according to a release.

“After an incredibly successful Drive-In season at Red Rocks last year, which included sellout shows and rave reviews from our guests, we’re thrilled to be able to offer both the Drive-in and in amphitheater Film on the Rocks experience for this summer tradition,” said Denver Film CEO James Mejia in a release.

Film on the Rocks is featuring a 24-film line up from May 26 through Aug. 2, which is more than ever before. Traditionally the series features 10 to 12 films, said Becca Propper, a spokesperson for Denver Film.

The final three shows of the series will be in-person and officials are excited to allow movie enthusiasts back into the amphitheater, said Venue Manager Tad Bowman.

“Having Film on the Rocks back in venue for three shows will be the perfect finale to a great Film on the Rocks Season,” Bowman said in a release.
