The 53rd annual Palisade Peach Festival will be held this August after organizers were forced to cancel the festival last summer due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The festival is scheduled to run from Aug. 19 to 21, and the annual Palisade Farmers Market is set for Aug. 22 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
“Experience food and goods from vendors from across the valley, live music, entertainment for the kids, contests and of course our famous peaches,” the Palisade Chamber of Commerce said, thanking festival sponsors and vendors.
“We could not do it without all of you.”

The festival is one of the most popular events on the Western Slope, typically bringing in around 15,000 visitors each year.
This year, the festival will include peach grower booths, the Peach Parade, peach eating contests, orchard tours, a car show, a 1K, 5K and 10K race, food, drinks, live music and more.
Celebrations will kick off Aug. 19 with an ice cream social and street dance in the downtown plaza.
