Colorado receives additional $57.9 million from FEMA for COVID-19 response

The Federal Emergency Management Agency announced Wednesday that Colorado will receive an additional $57.9 million for the state’s COVID-19 response effort.

The new funds will be given to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment to continue administering and managing the state’s vaccination programs cost and contracts, according to a release.

FEMA issues additional $108 million to Colorado for COVID-19 response

Since the beginning of April, FEMA has awarded over $167 million to Colorado.

Since the major disaster declaration was issued in response to the pandemic in March 2020, FEMA has provided $578.9 million to Colorado’s COVID-19 response, according to a release.

Colorado to receive additional FEMA funding for COVID-19 response

The funds will cover costs and work between Jan. 20, 2020 and Sept. 30, 2021.
