Elitch Gardens to open at 43% capacity without reservations this weekend
Elitch Gardens announced Tuesday it will open its facility to all guests on Saturday at 43% capacity without reservations.
The amusement park’s “Half Pipe,” “Boomerang” and “Mind Eraser” already took off with riders for the first time since the season ended in 2019 on April 24, but it was only for season-pass holders.
But now, even more screams will be heard coming from LoDo.
“the THRILLS ARE BACK AGAIN AT ELITCH GARDENS,” officials said in an update on their website Tuesday afternoon.
Although more people will be allowed inside the park for its 130th season, guests and team members will be required to wear face masks and will be verbally screened. Additionally, hand sanitizing stations are now displayed around the park and team members will “routinely” clean and disinfect high-touch points including rides, according to the website.
Tickets for this weekend’s celebration are now available, but officials urge guests to check their latest COVID guidelines before coming to the park.
