Teddy Bridgewater vs. Drew Lock by the numbers

Broncos Chargers Football Lock

Broncos General Manager George Paton wanted a quarterback competition and now he’s got one, after trading for Carolina’s Teddy Bridgewater Wednesday.

Assuming the Broncos don’t draft a rookie quarterback Thursday night, which remains a real possibility, it’ll be Bridgewater vs Drew Lock vying for the starting spot come September.

Here’s a numbers-based look at how the two stack up.

Experience

Bridgewater: 49 starts, 6 game-winning drives, 5 comebacks, 1 playoff start, 28 years old

Lock: 18 starts, 3 game-winning drives, 2 comebacks, 0 playoff starts, 24 years old

Last 10 starts

Bridgewater: 2,273 passing yards, 9 touchdowns, 8 interceptions, 2 fumbles lost, 66.316 completion percentage, 2-8 record

Lock: 2,508 passing yards, 15 touchdowns, 13 interceptions, 2 fumbles lost, 59.032 completion percentage, 3-7 record
