The Brighton Police Department said there is no threat to the community after police evacuated the Riverwalk Apartments on Tuesday morning during an “active situation.”
Police said they received a 911 call in the area about 9:30 a.m. and responded to the apartment complex because of the history of domestic violence at the residence.
During the investigation, the apartment complex was evacuated and residents were urged to avoid the area.
The evacuation was announced just before 10 a.m. and lifted about 11:20 a.m. after police investigated and found no threat and no one inside the apartment complex at 744 Mockingbird St.
Residents were allowed to return to their homes, police said.
No one was arrested and there were no injuries reported during the investigation.
