Names.org predicts most popular baby names for 2021

With every new year, comes a new list of the “Most Popular Baby Names.”

Although this year’s list hasn’t been officially released, Names.org released their predictions of what this year’s list might look like and noticed some slight changes with two names dropping out for boy’s and one girl name making a drastic leap.

Names.org based their nationwide projections on the most recent nationwide data on births from the Social Security Administration, trends from 2020 and user interest from millions of visitors to their website.

Cracking into the boy’s top 10 for the first time included Henry at nine and Matteo at 10th. Last year, both names were ranked 12th and 26th respectively, according to the release.

For the girl’s category, all ten names stayed the same, but there was some shuffling around with Amelia skyrocketing four spots to crack into the top 3.
