Man in custody after allegedly pointing gun, attempted carjack in Arapahoe County
One person is in custody after allegedly committing a chain of crimes Wednesday morning in Arapahoe County.
Deputies with the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the 1100 block of South Xenia Street in Denver at 7 a.m. after a victim said a man pointed a gun at him, said John Bartmann, a sheriff’s spokesman.
Before deputies arrived, the man allegedly attempted to carjack a second victim, but was unsuccessful and fled to a nearby storage unit facility.
Authorities with the sheriff’s office and Denver Police Department set up a perimeter and found the man within five minutes, shortly before 9 a.m., Bartmann said.
Information regarding the victim is unavailable.
