A man and woman were found dead Thursday afternoon inside of a house in Littleton, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies discovered the bodies at 2:50 p.m. inside the home in the 7900 block of South Estes Street, near Coronado Elementary School.

The sheriff’s office said they are still determining the circumstances of the deaths but that there is no threat to the public.

The sheriff’s office declined to specify why the deputies were responding to the home and whether there was anyone else inside the home.

The official causes of death and identities of the deceased will be released by the Office of the Medical Examiner after their families have been notified.
