One person was killed overnight in a shooting at East Colfax Avenue and Colorado Boulevard, the Denver Police Department said.

Police said the shooting happened before 1:30 a.m. Thursday.

The victim, a man, was found suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead just before 9 a.m., police said.

The incident is being investigated as a homicide.

Police released surveillance images of a suspected vehicle. It’s described as dark-colored with a faded hood and roof, black rims with a bag or tarp covering its rear window and trunk.
