Police, FBI search for suspect in Arvada bank robbery

The FBI and the Arvada Police Department are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect who robbed a bank in Arvada on Friday.

Police said the suspect robbed the Chase Bank at 9611 W. 58th Ave. just after 1 p.m. No weapon was shown during the robbery.

The suspect is described as a 25- to 35-year-old white man with a slim build, between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-8. During the robbery, he wore a gray long-sleeve Denver Nuggets shirt, black hat, blue scarf and dark jeans.

Police ask residents to be on the lookout for anyone matching the description who might have recently changed their spending habits or discussed coming into money.

The FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force and Metro Denver Crime Stoppers are offering a $2,000 reward for any information that leads to an arrest of the suspect.

Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force at 303-629-7171 or Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867 to remain anonymous.
