The Aurora Police Department is investigating after a woman was shot Sunday night in the Highline Villages neighborhood.

Police said the shooting happened about 8 p.m. at Lansing Street and Highline Drive, near Common Ground Golf Course.

The victim, identified only as a woman, was shot in the arm and taken to a hospital. She is expected to survive, police said.

Police have not released any information about what led to the shooting.

No arrests have been made and police are looking for witnesses to provide information about the shooting suspect.
