Driver cited after crashing into smoke shop in Parker

One person was cited for careless driving after driving their vehicle into Freaky’s Smoke Shop in Parker Tuesday night.

Parker police officers and South Metro Fire Rescue crews were dispatched to the business at 10471 S. Parker Road shortly after 8:30 p.m. after a report of a vehicle running into a building, said Parker Police Department Public Information Officer Josh Hans.

Upon their arrival, the driver was located and was deemed uninjured. He was cited for careless driving for the incident.

Information about the suspect and what led to the accident has not been released.

South Metro Fire Rescue’s Structural Engineers determined the building only sustained minor damages and was safe to continue day-to-day operations, said Kim Spuhler, a public information for the fire department.
