An elderly Castle Pines man who was reported missing Wednesday afternoon was found and is safe, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department.

Andrew, 77, was reported missing around 3:30 p.m. after heading out on a walk on the trails in the Village in Castle Pines, but never returning home, said Lauren Childress, a public information officer for the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.

A search and rescue mission ensued following the missing report. Andrew was located shortly before 7:30 p.m. and is safe, Childress said.
