One man shot overnight in Denver’s Sunnyside neighborhood

The Denver Police Department is investigating after a man was shot in the Sunnyside neighborhood Saturday night.

Police announced the shooting at around 9:30 p.m. in the 4700 block of Shoshone Street, a neighborhood near the intersection of West 46th Avenue and North Pecos Street.

One victim, a man, was found suffering from a gunshot wound and taken to the hospital in a private vehicle, police said. The extent of his injuries is unknown.

Police have not released any information about what led to the shooting.

No arrests have been made in connection to the shooting, police said. No suspect information is available at this time.

Anyone with information is asked to call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867. Tipsters can be anonymous and are eligible for a $2,000 reward.
