Man arrested for attempted murder in shooting of Aurora woman
A man has been arrested in connection to the shooting of a woman last week, the Aurora Police Department announced.
Marquis Davis, 35, was arrested on a charge of attempted first-degree murder. Davis was located and taken into custody out of state and is awaiting extradition, police said.
The shooting happened on the evening of May 23 at Lansing Street and Highline Drive, in Aurora’s Highline Villages neighborhood.
Police said the victim, identified only as a woman, was shot in the arm and taken to a hospital. She survived her injuries.
Police have not released any information about what led to the shooting or the relationship between the victim and the alleged shooter.

Davis’ case will be prosecuted by the 18th Judicial District Attorney’s Office. No court date has been set as of Wednesday morning.
