Man wounded after shooting in Thornton neighborhood
One man was wounded in a shooting Monday in a Thornton neighborhood, the Thornton Police Department announced.
Police said the shooting happened just after noon in the 10300 block of Tenby Lane, a neighborhood near the intersection of East 104th Avenue and York Street.
One victim, identified only as a man, was found suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital and his current condition is unknown, police said.
Police have not released any information about what led up to the shooting; however, they said there is no threat to the public.
No arrests have been made in connection to the shooting. No suspect information is available.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867. Tipsters can be anonymous and are eligible for a $2,000 reward.
