Hyde Development and Mortenson started pushing dirt on what they’re calling the first speculative industrial building near Denver International Airport.

Coming in 2022, will be the first 541,840 square-foot building of a planned 15-building, 5 million square-foot Class A industrial and logistics park called HighPoint Elevated. It’s at the corner of E-470 and East 64th Avenue in Aurora “with extensive freeway frontage,” according to a release from broker CBRE.

“The master plan for HighPoint Elevated features a compelling combination of size, opportunities for a variety of uses and a location that make it ideal for companies building out warehouse and distribution space,” said Paul Hyde with Hyde Development in a statement. “We’re confident this first building will quickly fill a need in the market.”

CBRE’s Todd Witty, Jeremy Ballenger, Daniel Close and Tyler Carner are marketing HighPoint Elevated.

Data center services provider Service Express plans to expand its Denver operations by 100 heads in the next two years, more than doubling its existing workforce in Colorado.

The company has operated here since 2016 and recently acquired Blue Chip to take its operations international. It’s also expanding its real estate footprint by 15,000 square feet.
