Motorcyclist killed in crash in Lakewood
A motorcyclist was killed Saturday night in a single-vehicle crash, the Lakewood Police Department announced.
Police said the motorcyclist was going north on Union Boulevard near West Fourth Avenue about 9 p.m. when he hit a curb and was ejected.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. There were no other passengers on the motorcycle.
The deceased’s identity will be released by the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office after his family has been notified.
Police said no other vehicles were involved and it is unclear whether drugs or alcohol were involved.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
