Denver weather: Unusually cool on first full day of summer with heat ahead
The first full day of summer will see cool temperatures, cloudy skies and light rain in the Denver metro area, the National Weather Service in Boulder said.
Temperatures are expected to reach a high of 73 degrees, 11 degrees below the average high of 84 for June 21, the agency said.
The summer solstice happened at 9:31 p.m. Sunday.
Monday begins with a 30% chance of rain before 7 a.m. along with cloudy skies expected to gradually clear throughout the day, the weather service said.
Breezes remain light throughout the day and into night with overnight lows dropping to 56 degrees, the agency said.
Tuesday is forecast to make a quick turnaround with sunny skies and highs in the 90s, the weather service said.
