Want to park your couch where the buses parked? Now’s your chance as Denver developer Continuum Partners LLC opens the Residences at Market Station where the former Regional Transportation District’s bus station on 16th and Market streets lived.
The development has 171 smaller “European loft-inspired” apartments (read: 400-1,000 square feet) at The Flats and 54 larger ones at Fourteen 45, where rents range from $3,000-$7,400. Rents on The Flats range from $1,600 to $2,600.
“Our vision for the apartments at Market Station was to not only offer two different styles of living – efficiency and luxury – but also to cultivate a sense of community both in the project itself as well as in downtown Denver as a whole,” said Roger Pecsok, development director, in a statement. “We look forward to welcoming residents at Market Station as they will bring this long-awaited development to life and add to the vibrancy of the surrounding neighborhood.”
El Dorado Architecture designed the Residences in partnership with BOKA Powell Architects, with interior design by Styleworks. They are described as “thoughtfully designed residences featuring Italian-made cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, spacious balconies, walk-in showers and tile-lined bathrooms, in-unit laundry, and built-in gear storage.”
New hire
The Daniels Fund named Luke Ragland senior vice president of the organization’s Grants Program.
The former president of Ready Colorado, an education policy organization, will help direct grants to nonprofit organizations in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming in the areas of Aging, Amateur Sports, Disabilities, Drug & Alcohol Addiction, Early Childhood Education, Homeless & Disadvantaged, K-12 Education, and Youth Development.
“Luke is well-positioned to lead our Grants Program into the future,” said Hanna Skandera, president & CEO of the Daniels Fund. “His vision, grit, and entrepreneurial heart will drive an outcomes-focused approach for greater impact within the communities we serve.”
Ragland, a fourth-generation Coloradan, got his bachelor’s degree in political science from Colorado State University and his law degree from the University of Colorado School of Law.
