A woman is dead and another person is injured after a vehicle ran off the road and rolled over Friday night in Aurora.

Officers with the Aurora Police Department responded to a report of a one-car, rollover accident, near the intersection of North Airport Boulevard and East 8th Avenue at 9:45 p.m., according to a release from the department.

Upon their arrival, they located two individuals who were ejected from a white Honda CRV that was traveling along North Airport Boulevard. They were transported to a local hospital and the passenger, a woman, was later pronounced dead.

The driver remains hospitalized and their current status is unknown, police said.

Investigators have determined that the Honda CRV traveled off the right side of the road, which caused it to roll over. Currently, alcohol and speed are believed to have played a role in causing the accident, according to the release.

Information regarding the victim will be released by the Adams County Coroner’s Office at a later day.
