RFAs Jost, Timmins, Gilbert get qualifying offers from Colorado Avalanche

Golden Knights Avalanche Hockey

The Colorado Avalanche sent three qualifying offers Monday to restricted free agents — forward Tyson Jost and defensemen Dennis Gilbert and Conor Timmins — and retain their negotiating rights.

Restricted free agents who don’t receive a qualifying offer become unrestricted free agents. From the Avalanche, that includes goaltenders Adam Werner and Peyton Jones and forwards Travis Barron and Ty Lewis. None appeared with the big club last season.

The free agency period begins Wednesday at 10 a.m.
