Anthony Weiner and Curtis Sliwa to host talk radio show
Ex-congressman and ex-convict Anthony Weiner will host a weekly radio show with Guardian Angels founder Curtis Sliwa, WABC-AM radio announced.
Weiner, a Democrat, and Sliwa, a Republican, will host a show called The Left vs. The Right on Saturdays at 2 p.m., a spokesperson for the station said in a press release. The station is owned by Republican donor John Catsimatidis.
Both Weiner and Sliwa have run failed New York City mayoral bids. Sliwa lost his race last year against now-Mayor Eric Adams by a 2-1 margin.

Weiner represented a New York City congressional district for just over a decade. He resigned in 2011 after lewd photos he sent to several women emerged online. His 2013 political comeback bid in the New York City mayoral race sank when it became known Weiner was still sending explicit photos under the alias Carlos Danger.
In 2017, Weiner pleaded guilty to transferring obscene material to a teenager and was sentenced to nearly two years in federal prison. He is now required to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
During the investigation into the images he sent a 15-year-old, Weiner was also linked to the scandal surrounding then-Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server. Then, the FBI discovered emails between his then-wife Huma Abedin, a Clinton aide, and the candidate on his laptop — revealed just days before the 2016 election.
Sliwa told the New York Post he believes Weiner deserves another chance.
“I think being on the radio, he can become a role model for other people who have had major issues in their life,” Sliwa said.

Sliwa became a prominent figure in New York in the 1980s as leader of the Guardian Angels patrolling subways. According to the Associated Press, he later admitted his anti-crime group faked some of their rescues for publicity. He is known as a talk radio fixture and for his red beret, as well as keeping more than a dozen cats in his apartment.
