Kristen Stewart, Nick Offerman, and his wife Megan Mullally were among those to speak out against Putin and urge viewers to “stand with Ukraine” at the 2022 Independent Spirit Awards, where Stewart is an honorary chairwoman and Offerman and Mullaly were hosts.

Stewart stood in front of a blue and yellow backdrop and reportedly said, “Today, we are compelled to stand with the people of Ukraine. They are risking their lives to fight for those very things.”

“We stand for the hundreds of thousands of refugees fleeing this war, both Ukrainians and those of other nationalities being denied safe harbor.”

An award show focusing on independent films, the award show’s website reads, “Our mission is to champion creative independence in visual storytelling and support a community of artists who embody diversity, innovation and uniqueness of vision.”

Offerman and Mullally reportedly took a slightly different approach than Stewart, telling the crowd, “I think we speak for everyone here when we say we are hoping for a quick and peaceful resolution. Specifically, f*** off and go home, Putin.”

The two then asked the crowd to send the Russian president off “with a Spirit Awards salute” and then held their middle fingers up to the camera.

Last week, Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher announced a fundraiser for Ukrainian aid. “We’re raising funds to support a relief effort that will have immediate impact and supply much-needed refugee and humanitarian aid to the area,” Kutcher announced to viewers.

“We need to support the people of Ukraine. Please help us,” Kunis, who is Ukrainian, said.
