A person was killed after being struck by a vehicle in Denver on Tuesday night.

Denver officers were sent to southbound Interstate 25 and West Colfax Avenue just after midnight for a report of a crash, police said.

The pedestrian was crossing the interstate when they were struck in the far right lane. The person was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and won’t face criminal charges, police said.

The victim’s name will be released at a later date.
