Ramzan Kadyrov says he thinks Zelensky has ‘schizophrenia’

Chechen strongman Ramzan Kadyrov threatened Volodymyr Zelensky on Sunday and said that he thinks the Ukrainian president has a serious mental disorder.

Kadyrov, one of Vladimir Putin’s top allies, accused Zelensky of having schizophrenia and said, “We will finish with you one of these days,” in an audio message posted on his Telegram account. The leader of the Chechen republic of Russia was responding to comments made by Zelensky on Sunday in which the Ukrainian leader said that his country is prepared to fight Russian forces for “10 years to take what’s ours.”

“Greetings all. I read here that Zelensky announced his readiness to fight for 10 years. Come on, we don’t have that much time. We will finish with you one of these days. You have schizophrenia, I think,” Kadyrov said in the audio recording.

Schizophrenia is a serious mental disorder in which afflicted individuals interpret reality abnormally, according to the Mayo Clinic.

In an interview that aired on CNN Sunday, Zelensky vowed to fight Russian invaders for 10 years if necessary and said that he will not give up any territory in eastern Ukraine to Russia as part of a peace deal.

ZELENSKY VOWS TO NOT GIVE UP TERRITORY TO END WAR

Kadyrov is no stranger to threats.

In a video message posted on his Telegram account earlier this month, after Russian forces had retreated from the Kyiv region of Ukraine, Kadyrov warned that a future offensive would take the capital city and “all other cities.”

“Luhansk and Donetsk, we will fully liberate in the first place … and then take Kyiv and all other cities,” the Chechen leader said on April 10.

According to Ukrainian officials, Kadyrov’s forces were behind an assassination attempt against Zelensky early on in the war. The plot by Chechen special forces, known as the “Kadyrovites,” was foiled, and Kadyrov’s troops were “destroyed.”

Kadyrov has also warned SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk, saying in March that Putin would beat “the hell out” of Musk, calling the business tycoon a “much weaker opponent.” The warning came after Musk challenged the Russian president to a judo match on social media.
