A vehicle struck and killed a pedestrian Wednesday in northeast Denver.

The crash occurred at 48th Avenue and Colorado Boulevard, police said.

A man was taken to a hospital, where he later died. The medical examiner had not released his name as of Thursday morning.

The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators, police said.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
