Trump-backed Kari Lake endorses antisemitic GOP candidate who said 'Jews will go to hell'

Republican candidate for Arizona governor Kari Lake has endorsed a conservative antisemitic candidate for the Oklahoma state Senate who once said that Jewish people “will go to hell.”

Lake, who received former President Donald Trump‘s endorsement, threw her support behind Jarrin Jackson, who has an alleged history of making antisemitic and homophobic comments. Lake touted the conservative as an “America First fighter.”

“We need fighters in EVERY state that’s why I’m proud to endorse Jarrin Jackson for Oklahoma state senate,” Lake said in her endorsement. “Jarrin is an America First patriot and does so much to advance our America First movement. RINOs & the Soros media attack him relentlessly because he’s over the target.”

Lake’s endorsement of Jackson comes less than a month after she rejected an endorsement from an antisemite, claiming she “absolutely denounces bigotry in all its forms, especially antisemitism,” according to the Arizona Mirror.

Jackson, who describes himself as a “Bible-loving, Constitution defending, patriotic Trump supporter,” thanked the Arizona hopeful for her endorsement in a social media post this week.

“I am honored to be endorsed by the #AmericaFirst (and Trump-endorsed) warrior who drained the McCain swamp in Arizona and is now the GOP nominee for governor in Arizona — Kari Lake,” Jackson said. “She is a rising star and her endorsement is a big deal! Thank you, Kari!”

One of Jackson’s antisemitic attacks was posted on the social media platform Telegram in January. Jackson claimed in the post that Jewish people did not deserve his love, according to the Oklahoman.

“All Jews will go to hell if they don’t believe the gospel of Jesus Christ … just like everybody else,” Jackson said. “I love Jews because Christ told me to, not because they deserve it.”

Jackson also said that being gay is “disgusting” and despicable and should not be celebrated or treated as normal in a video posted in June, during Pride Month, the outlet reported.

MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell, Arizona state Sen. Wendy Rogers, and Gun Owners of America have also endorsed Jackson for Oklahoma state Senate, according to his website.

Lake has been the center of controversy herself, including pushing the unproven allegations that there was massive voter fraud in the 2020 presidential election.

Jackson faces Ally Seifried, 29, who previously worked as an executive assistant for a state senator in the runoff Republican primary. The two conservatives are vying for a seat left vacant by state Sen. Marty Quinn, who has reached his term limit in the Oklahoma legislature. The runoff is scheduled for Tuesday, and the winner will face Democrat Jennifer Esau in the general election in November.
