Jimmy Kimmel signs three-year extension for ABC show

Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel signed a three-year extension with ABC to continue Jimmy Kimmel Live! through its 23rd season, ABC announced Tuesday.

The extension will see Kimmel become one of the longest-running talk show hosts in the history of United States television, according to a release from ABC.

“For 20 years, Jimmy Kimmel has been a huge part of the ABC family and the heartbeat of late-night television,” Hulu and ABC President Craig Erwich said in the release.

Kimmel appears content in accepting the extension.

“After two decades at ABC, I am now looking forward to three years of what they call ‘quiet quitting,'” he said.
