Transgender influencer shares letter from Kamala Harris celebrating one year of girlhood

Transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney shared a letter apparently sent by Vice President Kamala Harris congratulating the social media star on 365 days of what Mulvaney has referred to as “girlhood.”

Mulvaney is a biological man who has socially transitioned to a transgender woman. Mulvaney has also undergone some treatment, such as facial feminization surgery and female hormones, to begin physically transitioning to appear more feminine.

The White House did not respond to the Washington Examiner’s request for comment.

“Thank you for courageously sharing your story and your journey,” the vice president wrote. “I appreciate your continued advocacy for transgender equality, including during your visit to the White House last year.”

Harris was referring to when Mulvaney visited the White House on “day 222 of being a girl” last year. The transgender TikTokker interviewed President Joe Biden on behalf of Now This.

“You continue to break barriers and inspire young people across our nation and around the world,” the letter continued.

Harris then encouraged Mulvaney to continue using social media platforms for activism.

To celebrate a year of “girlhood,” Mulvaney performed a live, one-night-only variety show in the Rainbow Room at Rockefeller Center in New York City on March 13.
