Veterans job fair slated this week in Springs

A job fair for veterans will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday at The Broadmoor World Arena, 3185 Venetucci Blvd., on Colorado Springs’ south side.

Software and cybersecurity company to expand in Pikes Peak region, bringing over 60 jobs

More than 30 organizations and employers — including USAA, the Parsons Corp., Love’s Travel Stops, First Command Financial Services and Waste Management — will look to fill jobs at the event, which is being hosted by the Disabled American Veterans and RecruitMilitary, a Virginia-based hiring firm that seeks to connect veterans with employers.

Registration for the job fair is free and available online to all transitioning military, veterans, military spouses and dependents.

Colorado’s unemployment rate creeps up but is still lower than the U.S.
