Crime Watch: Denver police investigate fatal shooting, stabbing and hit-and-run Saturday

1 shooting, 1 stabbing and 1 hit and run Saturday morning

The Denver area saw three violent crimes occur Saturday morning, according to social media posts by the Denver Police Department.

Police responded to a shooting call at 12445 East 39th Avenue around 2 a.m. Saturday morning, according to a department post. Upon arrival, officers found one victim at the scene who was later pronounced deceased. 

Five other victims reportedly took themselves to a nearby hospital. Two later died from injuries and three are expected to survive.

Police said that early investigations found that a party was outside of a nearby storefront. Police have yet to determine how many people were in the party. Evidence shows that at least two guns were fired in the shooting. 

Police continue to investigate the incident. 

Police then responded to a stabbing in the 800 block of South Oneida Street around 9 a.m. No updates or information has been made available at this time, according to the department.

Then, responders reported to a hit-and-run call at 15th Street and Central Street around 9:15 a.m. The pedestrian was taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
