Broncos promote WR Lil’Jordan Humphrey to active roster, re-sign Michael Bandy to practice squad
ENGLEWOOD • The Broncos on Wednesday promoted wide receiver Lil’Jordan Humphrey from the practice squad to the active roster for the second time this season.
Humphrey takes the roster spot that has been open since Denver released outside linebacker Frank Clark last Saturday. To take Humphrey’s place on the practice squad, the Broncos re-signed wide receiver Michael Bandy, who had been released from the squad last week.
Humphrey started the season on the practice squad before being elevated to play in the opener. Humphrey, who has four catches this season for 26 yards, was released last week and re-signed to the practice squad. He was then elevated for last Thursday’s 19-8 loss at Kansas City but didn’t have a reception.
The Broncos are looking to activate outside linebacker Baron Browning from the physically unable to perform list, and it could be done in time for Sunday’s game against Green Bay at Empower Field at Mile High. Another roster spot could come open with the placing of tight end Greg Dulcich on injured reserve after he aggravated a hamstring injury. Dulcich was activated off injured reserve for last Thursday’s 19-8 loss at Kansas City but got hurt again during the game.
Head coach Sean Payton said the Broncos are mulling their options and are considering placing Dulcich again on injured reserve.
