Denver police investigate 2 separate shootings, one involving officers

Denver police on Thursday are investigating two separate shootings, one of which involved its officers.
The officer-involved shooting occurred in the area of East 47th Avenue and York Street around 3 p.m. on Thursday, according to a social media post from the Denver Police Department.
One suspect was transported to a nearby hospital, according to the post. Their condition is currently unknown. No other injuries were reported at the time of the post.
No information was released on what led to the officer-involved shooting.
Around the same time, Denver police said there was a separate shooting at 38th and Walnut streets, which is about a mile and a half away.
One person was taken to a hospital and no arrests have been made, according to a social media post by the Denver Police Department.
