$50,000 reward offered in trail death being investigated as homicide in Colorado
Law enforcement in Colorado’s Larimer County has published another request for the public to help them solve a case involving the death of 64-year-old Fort Collins resident Paul J. Gallenstein.
Gallenstein was found deceased in the area of the Foothills Trail at Reservoir Ridge on the morning of September 10, 2023. An autopsy determined his death was due to a gunshot wound, with law enforcement investigating the case as a potential homicide.
In the weeks since the death occurred, investigators have scoured the area around where Gallenstein was found, also conducting interviews and collecting evidence from the scene. The family has also played a role in the investigation, helping authorities develop a clear picture of what Gallenstein’s life was like.
Gallenstein’s family has also offered a big reward for information that leads to the case being resolved to the tune of $50,000.
“The Gallenstein family would greatly appreciate any and all information the public may have regarding the investigation into Paul’s death. We know there is someone out there that knows what happened to Paul on Reservoir Ridge, and we beg that they come forward with information that will solve this case. The Gallenstein family also would appreciate privacy as we struggle to deal with Paul’s passing. This has had a devastating effect on our family as we grieve the loss of our husband, brother, and uncle,” reads a press release on the matter.
It’s requested that anyone with information that may help solve the case contact authorities immediately, including those who were in the area of Foothills Trail at Reservoir Ridge between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. on September 10. Tips can be submitted by phone at 970-498-7331 or online.
