LOVELAND, Colo — In-N-Out Burger is coming to northern Colorado for the first time.

The City of Loveland has released its plan for dealing with the traffic congestion that is expected to come with the opening of northern Colorado’s first In-N-Out Burger location on Friday.

The city said on its website that its own traffic engineers have been working with the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT), Centerra Marketplace and In-N-Out on a traffic plan.

“When visiting In-N-Out, be aware of and follow the traffic plan, watch, and follow directional signage, plan to be patient, and thanks for supporting Loveland businesses,” the city said on its website.

The city said patrons should remain patient and take Hahns Peak Drive from U.S. Highway 34 to get in line for the drive-through. Parking will be available on-site for dine-in customers. Additional parking will be available across from the restaurant.

Patrons should not take Rocky Mountain Avenue or Fall River Drive to get to the drive-through line. Those cars will be rerouted.

The following traffic control measures will be implemented:

• Message boards along U.S. Highway 34 instruct commuters on how to navigate to Hahns Peak Drive, which serves as the main “temporary” and best entrance for In-N-Out’s drive-through, or helps drivers bypass that traffic.
• Inside the Centerra Marketplace, flaggers and temporary signage are planned to direct In-N-Out traffic to the appropriate route for drive-through lines or customer dine-in service.
• Traffic control measures within the shopping center will be implemented to manage traffic flow and prevent overflow traffic on Hahns Peak Drive and US 34. Onsite parking options will be available for dining customers.
• A newly installed second left-turn lane and traffic signals at the Hahns Peak Drive/US 34 intersection aims to improve traffic flow and reduce congestion in the area and into the shopping center.
