Dense fog at Denver airport delays flights on Friday
Denver International Airport is experiencing multiple flight delays and a brief ground stoppage following thick fog in the area Friday.
The situation delayed 113 flights — both outgoing and incoming — and cancelled one as of 9 a.m., according to FlightAware.
The fog is expected to continue until around 9 a.m., according to the National Weather Service in Boulder, but the delays seemed to be lifting. The ground stoppage at DIA was announced around 7:30 a.m. and lasted until 8:45 a.m., according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
This is the third day of fog delays at DIA over the last month. Hazardous fog led to dozens of delays at the airport on Oct. 25 and 26.
